Preparing For WordCamp Europe 2023

WordCamp Europe is the largest WordPress conference in Europe, and it’s coming to Athens in 2023! And not only that, but at Filter, we’re taking our biggest team yet.

The event is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in WordPress, whether you’re a developer, designer, content creator, or business owner.

In this blog post, we’ll take a look at how to prepare for WordCamp Europe 2023, and how you can get involved.

  1. Plan your trip

The first step to preparing for WordCamp Europe 2023 is to plan your trip. Athens is a beautiful city with plenty of things to see and do, so you may want to extend your stay and explore the city. Start by booking your flight and accommodation, and make sure to check the conference website for any updates on the venue and schedule.

  1. Learn about the speakers and topics

The next step is to learn about the speakers and topics that will be covered at the conference. WordCamp Europe typically features a range of talks and workshops on topics like design, development, content creation, and business strategy. Take a look at the schedule and identify the talks that are of most interest to you, so you can plan your time accordingly.

  1. Get involved with the community

WordCamp Europe is not just about attending talks and workshops. It’s also a great opportunity to meet other WordPress enthusiasts and get involved with the community. Join the WordCamp Europe Slack channel, follow the event on social media, and sign up for the volunteer program if you’re interested in helping out.

  1. Bring business cards

WordCamp Europe is a great networking opportunity, so make sure to bring plenty of business cards to hand out to people you meet. You never know who you might run into, and a simple business card can help you stay in touch and make new connections.

  1. Prepare for the after-party

Don’t forget to prepare for the after-party! WordCamp Europe typically features a fun and lively after-party where you can unwind, relax, and meet other attendees. Make sure to bring a change of clothes, comfortable shoes, and your dancing shoes!

And finally, if you are going, and you’d like to meetup, drop me a line, or get in touch via our Filter contact page. We love to meet new people and make new connections, and are always keen on catching up over a coffee or a drink in the bar.
